New project update – April

Despite the challenging market conditions with the global exploration and production industry, subsurface engineering consultancy OPC continues to perform well and has secured several new projects in recent weeks including:

Water Injectivity study – Eastern Europe

OPC has recently carried out a water injectivity study for a gas field in Eastern Europe.

Oilfield Simulation modelling study – West Africa

OPC has been selected to perform a dynamic simulation project for an oilfield offshore West Africa.

Geological Scoping study – West Texas

OPC has been awarded a geological scoping study for an international operator operating onshore West Texas.

Multiple Training contracts – North Africa and Gulf

OPC has received an excellent response to the recent re-launch of our training services initiative. Our training portfolio is developing significantly and is making meaningful contributions to clients with a commitment to develop and train local/national engineers and geoscientists. Recently awarded training contracts include the provision of training services aimed at developing local resources in Kuwait and two new agreements to provide bespoke training courses in Algeria.

As a result of the increasing demand from clients for training services so we are particularly interested to hear from experienced training professionals within the Exploration & Production sector. Have a look at the specification on our website and email Veronica Bowes with your details.

As a response to the market conditions, OPC has launched a range of services specifically to assist E&P companies with cost control and efficiencies (see Five Steps to Help E&P reduce costs ) and is currently in the final stages of negotiating the details on a number of new contracts as a specific result of this initiative.  More details to follow in the next project update…
