OPC Business Update on Middle East Services

OPC, the subsurface engineering specialist, announced today a number of initiatives which will see the business take a renewed focus on further developing its capabilities in the Middle East while also continuing to support our clients elsewhere.

New office in Dubai

OPC is establishing a new office in Dubai to support the increasing demand from customers locally. This office will be managed by Riley Smith, OPC Consultant Services Manager, and from it OPC will provide consultant services, training and technical services.

Global Training focus

The new office in Dubai will become OPC’s base for global training services.  Over the last two years, OPC has seen demand for its training services increase dramatically from companies based in the Middle East, North Africa, CIS and Eastern Europe.  Having its training headquarters in Dubai will ensure that OPC’s training staff are closer to its client base and are therefore better able to provide responsive and tailored training courses.

AlMansoori agent for Abu Dhabi

OPC has signed a collaboration agreement with AlMansoori to market OPC services in Abu Dhabi. The agreement is a reflection of the synergies between OPC’s subsurface and reservoir engineering expertise and AlMansoori’s oilfield services strengths and their leading position in the Abu Dhabi market (a separate more detailed announcement will follow).

piersPiers Johnson, Managing Director of OPC commented “We are very pleased to announce the new plans for the Middle East.  The new office in Dubai is part of a focussed strategy to develop OPC business where customers need us.  AlMansoori is an ideal partner for us in Abu Dhabi as we have great synergies with their oilfield services business. ”
