Ian Hancock is the Lead Engineer within OPC’s London Technical Team and has extensive practical and theoretical reservoir and petroleum engineering knowledge gained through working on numerous projects over the last 35 years. Prior to joining OPC in 2011, Ian’s entire career was spent working for operating companies and hence he has considerable experience in field development and operations. He has a thorough knowledge of reservoir modelling, simulation and reserve estimation methodologies. In addition he has a strong background in well design, identification of sidetrack and workover opportunities, drilling support, log analysis, well testing & analysis and production optimisation.

Ian holds a first class honours degree in Mathematics from London University.
