OPC specialises in supporting our clients in the transition of their energy systems to net zero and mitigating the carbon intensity of existing processes.
Larry Fink CEO of BlackRock stated
“There is no company whose business model won’t be profoundly affected by the transition to a net zero economy”,
and whilst the transition does represent an opportunity for long-term growth it also enables businesses to begin thinking about how to mitigate climate change risks on their business models, avoid stranded assets and reputational harm, and prepare for net zero in the future. OPC can offer clients an opportunity to leverage this change to their benefit.
OPC can support businesses through 3 key services:
We have a large network of pre-qualified consultants who will work under your management within your organisation on short, medium, and long-term assignments. Our consultants have expertise in the Energy Transition and low-carbon sector. For example, consultants with expertise of originating and developing CCUS, Geothermal, and Solar & Wind projects.
Technical projects and studies
Our inhouse Technical Services team provides an extensive range of project services including integrated field studies, geological modelling, reservoir evaluation and asset valuations. Our skills in reservoir simulation/engineering can be leveraged to provide solutions to Energy Transition problems. For example, we undertook a CO2 injection project in the Southern North Sea which involved the analysis of the suitability of a depleted O&G reservoir for CO2 injection and storage, part of a Decarbonisation and Energy Transition strategy.
We deliver bespoke training courses which provide high quality training and educational programs on a wide range of topics within the Oil and Gas industry including Climate Change and Energy Transition. All our training programmes are hosted and delivered by experienced and industry-recognised tutors, delivered through bespoke courses developed to meet specific requirements of an individual client. We want businesses to leverage the skills they have, so our training encompasses reorientating existing capability towards Energy Transition, as well as nurturing new technical skills.
