New Contract awards in Middle East
OPC has been awarded a number of new contracts in the Middle East as a result of the ongoing business development activities of the OPC Dubai office. Here is a summary of the latest contracts and news from the region:
Qatar Petroleum Development (QPD) Japan
We have a new 3.5-year contract with Qatar Petroleum Development (QPD) Japan for the provision of Rig and Barge Supervisors. Under this contract OPC will provide operational well services and drilling personnel to support QPD’s offshore well intervention program.
Subsurface studies – call off contract
OPC has also been awarded a 5 year contract with a major National Oil Company to undertake sub-surface and economic projects and studies. The call-off contract will be utilized to support the client’s international growth and exploration efforts.
Under this agreement OPC will undertake asset evaluations utilising our own in-house sub-surface and economics experts in our London and Dubai offices to support the clients’ upstream development activities internationally.
These two new contracts come hot on the heels of the award of a 5 year call-off contract for the supply of subsurface engineers and geoscientists to OPC and local partner CDC by Qatar Petroleum. This contract provides a regular demand for experienced consultants. Subsurface engineers and geoscientists with experience of working in Qatar are encouraged to check out the latest opportunities published on the OPC website: https://opc.co.uk/jobs/
There is a continued demand for projects and services from the Middle East and we have recently completed a number of projects including an extensive 5-month re-development study for a group of oilfields in the Middle East.
