UAE technical team drives increase in MENA projects

The first half of 2018 has seen a significant upturn in oil and gas projects sourced from OPC customers based in the Middle East and Africa.  The establishment of a technical team based in the regional headquarters in Dubai has been a key reason in securing and managing these projects from a range of different clients.  The technical team comprises an internationally experienced group of sub-surface personnel delivering projects and studies to clients across the region.

Having a physical presence in the UAE is important as it allows us more efficient communication with our clients during projects.  We undertake a lot of in-depth due diligence work and for these projects you need to be able to deliver results within tight time constraints.  Having a team based in the UAE has really facilitated fast and effective project delivery and we are experiencing a healthy level of interest from new clients in the region.

OPC has increased its presence in the Middle East over the last 2 years, with new offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi joining Doha to grow our footprint in the region.

In Abu Dhabi OPC has partnered up with Al Mansoori Specialized Engineering providing OPC with access to world-class support and facilities in Abu Dhabi.

OPC also has the capability to bring in and sponsor additional consultants to be placed in clients offices on short, medium or long-term assignments; in addition to providing bespoke training services to E&P companies which is also proving to be very successful.

Companies interested in the opportunities within the region should contact Riley Smith, OPC General Manager MENA on +971 562 789 820.
