Oilfield simulation study

Maximise value of large producing oil field

Project Completed

Oil field simulation study

A simulation study was carried out by OPC to maximise the value of a large producing oil field in Central Africa.

Production history was used to constrain uncertain subsurface parameters, using T-Navigator uncertainty workflows. OPC delivered a range of history matched models, which were used to evaluate infill well opportunities under a number of reservoir scenarios.

The work was performed by OPC specialists in London and Houston and they closely co-ordinated with technical staff at both operator and asset owner companies.

Disciplines utilised during project

Reservoir Simulation

We apply the latest technology and software together with highly competent in house engineering and geoscience staff, to build geostatistical models and up-scale them to dynamic models

Reservoir Engineering

OPC is one of the leading independent reservoir engineering consultants in the world providing services on a global basis to IOCs, NOCs and independent oil & gas businesses.

Reservoir engineering studies have included phase behaviour and equation of state modelling and production engineering.

Integrated Reservoir modelling

OPC’s distinctive capability in integrated reservoir modelling is the ability to integrate across as many disciplines as appropriate
