Luke Johnson recently joined BBC Radio 4’s The Bottom Line for a discussion on “How the Oil Industry Works.”
Hosted by Evan Davis, the programme explored what it takes to find, produce and refine oil, examining the financial realities behind one of the world’s most important industries. The conversation covered everything from drilling and production through to refining oil into products such as petrol, jet fuel and petrochemicals.
The episode also considered how recent disruptions to global supply chains have affected the industry, including the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and its impact on global oil flows.
Luke was joined by Nick Bone of Fuels Industry UK and Edward Hayden-Briffett of Onyx Capital, bringing perspectives from across the energy value chain.
