By producing the reservoir production parameters (flow rates of oil, gas and water, fluid properties, temperature and pressures) from reservoir and production engineering techniques, which change over the field life, the design of the subsea and surface facilities can be optimized to minimize initial and future CAPEX, as well as potentially OPEX.
Our strategic alliance with the WorleyParsons Group, incorporating the subsea and pipeline expertise of Advisian (and INTECSEA) with the surface facilities expertise of Worley Parsons, enables OPC to offer clients a fully integrated “reservoir to market” field development planning service. Furthermore, the alliance allows OPC to work with Advisian to provide an integrated consulting service to clients.
Integration of geophysical, geological and petrophysical data of the reservoir allows the construction of a static reservoir model which can ultimately be upscaled to a dynamic simulation model. The reservoir models can then be manipulated for different development scenarios to produce an integrated production and flow assurance model that automatically adapts to changes of input data. This data is then seamlessly utilized by our field development planning experts to derive and evaluate the optimum gathering, processing and export configuration.
Life-of-field analysis can be carried out within a single, or multiple simulations to quickly generate economic assessments. This enables fast and comprehensive assessment from the reservoir to the export market over the life of the field, which ensures the impact of each sensitivity is fully captured and quantified.
The purpose of this integrated approach to full field development planning is to improve concept selection at the pre-FEED stage by the sharing of data, knowledge and respective expertise. It allows us to incorporate all reservoir uncertainties to bring into consideration the full range of development options.
