Expansion in Dubai and Abu Dhabi

The last two months have seen OPC introduce a number of initiatives in order to take a renewed focus on further developing its capabilities in the Middle East.

New office in Dubai

OPC is establishing a new office in Dubai to support the increasing demand from customers locally. This office will be managed by Riley Smith, previously OPC Consultant Services Manager London, who now becomes OPC Middle East manager.   The Dubai office will become the hub within the Middle East for OPC to provide consultant services, training and technical services.

AlMansoori agent for Abu Dhabi

AbuDhabi522OPC has signed a collaboration agreement with AlMansoori to work with them to provide integrated oilfield services in Abu Dhabi. The agreement is a reflection of the synergies between OPC’s subsurface and well test interpretation expertise and AlMansoori’s oilfield services strengths and their leading position in the Abu Dhabi market.  AlMansoori Specialized Engineering is the leading provider of oilfield services in the Middle East.  Founded in Abu Dhabi in 1977, the company has grown to employ a workforce of more than 2,000 across 24 countries throughout the world.

Piers Johnson, Managing Director of OPC commented “We are very pleased to announce the new plans for the Middle East.  The new office in Dubai is part of a focussed strategy to develop OPC business where customers need us.  AlMansoori is an ideal partner for us in Abu Dhabi as we have great synergies with their oilfield services business.”

RileylogoRiley Smith, new Middle East Manager for OPC said  “Along with Kazakhstan, the Middle East region has arguably been the best performing market for OPC over the last 18 months.  The Dubai office serves as a great hub for the region.  Many oil and gas producers with operations in less favourable nearby regions have based themselves here, allowing us to develop a new international client base.  It also brings us much closer to our partner, AlMansoori, who are only an hour down the road in Abu Dhabi and allows us the contact needed to develop and cultivate our relationship with them and develop business together in Abu Dhabi. There is a great deal of opportunity in the region and I look forward to continuing to support our existing clients as well as developing new business in order to strengthen our position as a leading global E&P service provider.”
