OPC embraces home-working
As a reaction to the current Coronavirus pandemic, this week OPC implemented a company-wide work-from-home policy, a move that has been embraced by everyone. Thankfully the OPC team is familiar with the remote working model and all staff have the resources to do so, so its “business as usual” for us and so far there has been no impact on our ability to deliver services to clients. The productivity of the team might have even increased with the arduous commute taken out of the equation!
Remote working overcomes mobilisation issues
The virus is having a huge impact on the world, the most notable from our client’s perspective is not being able to access and mobilize resources to cope with ongoing workload. OPC offer our support to clients facing these issues by providing a fully remote based technical services platform to provide short-term cover.
Remote subsurface, geoscience and well testing
OPC Managing Director Piers Johnson said
“We are fortunate in that we have many years’ experience of supporting clients remotely and so have been able to adapt to the current crisis very smoothly. Not only can we undertake Subsurface and Geoscience projects remotely, we can also monitor and manage well testing worldwide from our home offices via secure links.”
For clients needing temporary cover for resource shortages during this crisis OPC have both the in-house personnel and software to cover the following disciplines remotely using our secure internal data links:
- Reservoir Engineering
- Petroleum Economics
- Well test management
- Pressure Transient Analysis
- Production Optimisation
- Field Development Planning
- Reserves Audits and Competent Persons Reports
In-house software licences include: ECLIPSE, t-Navigator, PETREL, PETEX, PIE and RECALL with others available upon request.
