OPC supports SPE Imperial College field trip to Trinidad

Every year, the SPE student chapter at Imperial College participates in an international fieldtrip. The field-trip gives the students (MSc Petroleum Engineering) the opportunity to observe the roles and responsibilities of petroleum engineers and to see first-hand how the industry works.

In May 2013 the SPE student chapter visited Trinidad and Tobago where they visited Petrotrin’s refinery and offshore facilities, Schlumberger and Tucker Energy Services facilities. The visits gave students the opportunity to see wireline and logging equipment, producing wells, production manifolds and other operational facilities.

The fieldtrip is supported by sponsorship from OPC and other from oil and gas companies.   Our picture shows the Imperial College SPE Student Chapter thanking sponsor OPC on Petrotrin’s offshore production platform.
