PTA of Hydrocarbon Well
OPC recently provided real time support and subsequent PTA of a hydrocarbon well in the Caribbean. The project was managed by OPC London based Reservoir Engineer Deev Sachdev and involved Bill Roberts as PTA technical expert.
OPC undertook pre-test modelling and then provided a remote real-time monitoring service for the duration of the test. OPC then undertook an initial ‘quicklook’ analysis and then a more detailed post-test analysis utilising PTA.
OPC’s involvement in the project helped the operator to optimize the flow rates / flow periods during the test, which was a success and enabled the operator to better define the productivity of the reservoir.
