Kirill Isakov, Senior Reservoir Engineer and Business Development Manager at OPC-APAC, represented OPC at ADIPEC 2025 in Abu Dhabi, UAE, held from 3 – 6 November 2025.
Hosted by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), ADIPEC is one of the world’s largest and most influential energy events, attracting participants from over 170 countries, featuring thousands of exhibiting companies and speakers across the energy, investment, innovation, and policy spectrum.
Showcasing OPC’s Technical Expertise
Kirill took the stage at the Conference to present a paper based on OPC’s long-standing collaboration with Dragon Oil. His talk showcased OPC’s advanced reservoir engineering capabilities and emphasised the company’s commitment to delivering technically robust and commercially valuable subsurface solutions.
“Presenting at ADIPEC with the results of our Dragon Oil project became a huge professional milestone for me. It was an absolute honour to be among such incredible technical speakers - true titans of the energy industry.”
Kirill extended his thanks to Dragon Oil for their trust and support and also acknowledged his co-authors and OPC colleagues: Izwan Adnan MBA Ts., Yanfidra Djanuar, Zakhar Lanetc, Rock Flow Dynamics, Mykyta Hladylchenko, Steve Wybar, Darrell Mandiwall, and Riley Smith. The paper has now been officially published on OnePetro.
Experiencing the Scale of ADIPEC
Beyond the presentation, Kirill reflected on the scale and energy of ADIPEC:
“ADIPEC truly felt like the Babylon of professionals and ideas from all around the world, the Mecca of the global energy industry, where technology, wisdom, and pragmatism meet. The energy in the halls was through the roof, with billion-dollar deals, powerful discussions and nonstop action.”
One of his key takeaways: the value of balance in the evolving energy landscape.
“We must embrace the principle of energy addition, not transition - a philosophy of balance and common sense, uniting East and West, renewables and hydrocarbons, innovation and tradition.”
Strengthening Global Connections
Kirill also used the event to reconnect with colleagues and friends across the industry, underlining how ADIPEC continues to serve as a crossroads for global collaboration and technical innovation.
“Grateful to be part of this global conversation where the future of energy is shaped not by extremes, but by collaboration, and proud to represent Australia, OPC, and Energy Club WA as part of the Global Energy Club.”
OPC looks forward to another year of innovation, collaboration, and insights at ADIPEC 2026.
