OPC conducted a comprehensive PTA study to evaluate injectivity, gain insight into reservoir properties and geometry, and assess the overall deliverability of the well.
What we did:
OPC provided an advanced analysis of the injectivity test data for the CCS project in the North Sea.
Based on the results, key reservoir parameters were derived, including skin, permeability, and the contributing zones, and a forward model was built to match the measured data.
In addition, the connected volume was estimated to determine the reservoir volume in communication with the well, an essential parameter for CCS operations to ensure sufficient minimum connected volume for long-term injectivity and storage performance.
Outcome:
Reservoir properties and geometry were defined, along with recommendations for further development and an estimate of the minimum connected volume.
