OPC characterised reservoir, built static models and initialised dynamic models of two reservoirs in Asia for an independent exploration and production company.
OPC’s technical team in London characterised the carbonate reef reservoir, built full field static models, conducted volumetric analysis and initialised the dynamic model for both reservoirs. Zone tops were identified, and correlated in wells and the reef geometry and reservoir properties characterised. A static model was built using a standard method developed by OPC for the company. This static model was then initialised, and volumetric uncertainty analysis undertaken.
OPC’s work enabled the client to create and substantiate business cases for the development of the assets.
