Five day bespoke training
OPC was contracted to provide a 5 day bespoke training course to Staatsolie in Suriname on Coring, Core Analysis and Core-Log Integration. OPC delivered the course virtually combining a mixture of theory, presentations, case studies and practice exercises.
The course broadly covered the following objectives:
• Identification of core and core data analysis requirements
• Competence in selecting a core analysis laboratory, select appropriate core analysis tests (routine and SCAL) and design a cost-effective core analysis program.
• Familiarizing participants with the various coring methods and be able to optimize the coring techniques based on subsurface condition.
• Describe the coring process and its impact on the quality of the core and core analysis data.
• Understand the testing procedures and quality standards of the selected core analysis laboratory.
• Be able to integrate core analysis results into Petrophysical log interpretation results.
Positive feedback was received from the client and OPC continues to deliver bespoke technical training to Staatsolie.
